Jamalida is one of five intimate visual narratives in the Memories of Home series. Through delicate animation, personal testimony and immersive sound, the video brings to life one Rohingya woman’s memories of community, home and resilience. Equipped with reporting and visuals by Abdur Rahman and Sharif Khiam Ahmed, and co-produced by H. Léo Kim, Jamalida is anchored in storytelling that honors memory, loss and survival.

The Memories of Home series received the 2023 Telly Awards for Art Direction and Animation, recognizing its excellence in human-centered creative storytelling.
